Hallelujah Somebody! Parenting Isn’t for the Faint of Heart**

Parenting... whew! It’s hands down one of the hardest things to do in life. It’s a decision that requires more than just love, you need a huge hat on your head and a lot of patience. But, despite the challenges, children are truly blessings.

Now, while I don’t always agree with everything in #TheBible, there’s one verse that truly resonates with me as a parent: *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it"* (Proverbs 22:6). That verse is everything!

As a child, I didn’t fully grasp the weight of those words. But now, as a parent, it makes so much sense. It’s about laying the foundation early because the lessons we teach today shape who our children become tomorrow.

But let’s be real, parenting in today’s world is no joke oh.

Picture this: you're scrolling through Instagram, getting caught up in the latest gossip, and suddenly, your child grabs your tablet or device and starts playing games. Before you know it, they’re glued to the screen. It’s easy to see how quickly they can develop unhealthy habits like screen addiction.

Staying present in our daily parenting tasks isn’t always easy, but it’s something we have to do.

For me, homework time has become my special bonding moment with my kids. Well, it used to be, until recently when my kids started chasing me away, yes, that’s right, my son now helps his sister with her homework!

Amazing, right? I guess that’s the beauty of laying the right foundation early on.
